What are FemCentral Sponsorships?

Sponsorships differ from advertisements, although they can be use to advertise. They can also be used to promote a cause (e.g., animal rescue, environmentalism), in honor or in memory of a specific person, or “just because.”

What do Sponsorships look like?

At the beginning of a sponsored post, I will include information about the sponsor. Examples,

  • Today’s Woman of the Week is sponsored by Julie Doe and her business Crochet for Everyone! (With hyperlinks, of course. Also, I’ll include any tag line for the business.)
  • This month’s Writing Prompt is sponsored by Oracle Cards for Peace.
  • This Newsletter is sponsored by Healthy Food is Good for You! Nutrition classes begin in 2 weeks. Registration is open now. Click “here” for more information.
  • AstroFridays in February are sponsored by Jane Big, who wants to remind everyone to spay and neuter their pets.
  • The week’s theme is sponsored by Nancy Nancington.

You get the idea! (But, if you don’t, feel free to ask for clarification!)

How do Sponsorships work?

Purchase sponsorships for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or a year.

Sponsor “Woman of the Week” for one month, and your sponsorship will appear on FemCentral , 4 unique times (every Thursday for 4 weeks).

Sponsor the newsletter for one month, and your sponsorship will appear on the email newsletter each Sunday for 4 weeks.

Sponsor AstroFridays for three months, and your sponsorship will appear on FemCentral , 12 unique times (every Friday for 12 weeks).

When you sponsor a specific “theme of the week,” your sponsorship will appear at the top of each post for that week’s theme (3- 4 times).

When you sponsor a Writing Prompt, your sponsorship will appear at the top of the actual prompt, and then, at the top of each of the responses to that prompt (a minimum of three unique times, but can be up to 6, depending on that month’s response).

Keep in mind that FemCentral archived posts are read often! I will not remove your sponsorship information from old posts (unless you request that I do so). Therefore, you may pay for one month but your sponsorships may continue to be seen for longer, when people visit the archives.

Help Wanted!
I know that one of the best ways to get these kinds of sponsorships is by going and asking for them. This is not something that’s in my skill set (no planets in Gemini!), and I’m already a bit overextended with everything else I do.

If you are interested in being a FemCentral “sponsor salesperson,” please let me know. I cannot pay a base pay at the moment but I CAN give a 20% commission on all proceeds that you bring in.
