This week's devotion is a prayer, "Our Mother," from page 131 of Words Made Flesh: An Anthology of Writings by Patricia Lynn Reilly.
Testify!
Jen, I will say for the one-thousandth time how incredibly grateful I am that you found this life path for yourself, and that our paths crossed again! I have benefited so much from your healing conversations! I am re-reading my notes from yesterday and they are so right on, so inspiring, so positive and helpful. THANK YOU! - Kim Jastremski

A quick way to make your dreams more real
Get visual! Many people make “vision boards” of their goals. Get some magazines and cut out images of things you want to be or achieve, glue them to a large piece of cardboard and keep it in a prominent place. My son and I have made these on New Year’s Eve the past two years. (His usually includes pictures of dessert and animals wearing human clothing.)
This doesn’t have to be a big project either. When I was going through a particularly sad time a few years ago, I decided to place “visual” reminders of happiness all around my house. I chose a picture of a small bluebird, and the picture almost always made me smile. I even used the picture as my desktop background on my computer! (BTW, I see bluebirds all over the place now.)
On Oprah’s website, you can download a computer program that allows you to make a full vision board out of your desktop. I’ve never used it, so I can’t say how well it works. But, here’s the link: http://www.oprah.com/spirit/O-Dream-Board-Envision-Your-Best-LifeTM
(While writing this, a friend just called me, and thanked me for suggesting the vision board to her a year ago! She had no idea that I was going to be posting this, either. I love synchronicities!)
Have you ever made a vision board? Was it effective?
